I pesci pi\u00f9 grandi del mondo nuotano in superficie per riscaldarsi, dopo essersi immersi per lunghi periodi a centinaia di metri di profondit\u00e0.<\/p>\n

Un nuovo studio condotto in Australia su quattro squali balena, Rhincodon typus<\/em>, ha dimostrato che questi pesci trascorrono in media circa 2,5 ore in superficie dopo aver effettuato immersioni diurne molto profonde e lunghe, oltre alle immersioni di “rimbalzo” pi\u00f9 brevi e meno profonde che compiono durante il giorno e la notte.<\/p>\n

“Esaminando i nostri dati, abbiamo scoperto che gli squali balena<\/a> trascorrevano intervalli regolari in superficie tra un’immersione e l’altra”, ha dichiarato in un comunicato stampa Michele Thums, ricercatore capo dello studio presso la University of Western Australia.<\/p>\n
