Les plus grands poissons du monde remontent \u00e0 la surface pour se r\u00e9chauffer, apr\u00e8s avoir plong\u00e9 pendant de longues p\u00e9riodes \u00e0 des profondeurs glaciales de plusieurs centaines de m\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n

Une nouvelle \u00e9tude men\u00e9e en Australie sur quatre requins-baleines, Rhincodon typus<\/em>, a montr\u00e9 que ces poissons passent en moyenne 2,5 heures \u00e0 la surface apr\u00e8s avoir effectu\u00e9 de longues plong\u00e9es diurnes tr\u00e8s profondes, en plus des plong\u00e9es \u00ab\u00a0\u00e0 rebond\u00a0\u00bb, plus courtes et moins profondes, qu’ils effectuent pendant le jour et la nuit.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Lorsque nous avons examin\u00e9 nos donn\u00e9es, nous avons constat\u00e9 que les requins-baleines<\/a> passaient des intervalles r\u00e9guliers \u00e0 la surface entre les plong\u00e9es\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Michele Thums, chercheur principal de l’\u00e9tude \u00e0 l’universit\u00e9 d’Australie occidentale, dans un communiqu\u00e9 de presse.<\/p>\n
