Antes, el pescador de Oslob consideraba al tibur\u00f3n ballena como \u00abplaga\u00bb por destruir sus redes y alejar a otros peces.<\/p>\n<p>En octubre de 2011, en un peque\u00f1o pueblo de Tan-awan Oslob, Jerson Soriano, comenz\u00f3 a alimentar a un tibur\u00f3n ballena con krill o camarones beb\u00e9 despu\u00e9s de que continuamente golpe\u00f3 su hocico a su banca mientras pescaba. En los d\u00edas siguientes, m\u00e1s de los tiburones ballena de longitud var\u00eda de 2 a 6 metros llegaron a las costas de Tan-awan despu\u00e9s de la alimentaci\u00f3n. El tibur\u00f3n ballena m\u00e1s grande que se muestra fue llamado como Big Mama, que era grande como autob\u00fas de 9 metros de largo. Pronto, el complejo de buceo en la zona pregunt\u00f3 a los pescadores si pod\u00edan guiarlos al sitio de avistamiento de ballenas.
